Fairmount received a CDAP (Community Development Assistance Program) grant to improve water quality and pressure throughout the Village. The system was upgraded by replacing existing 2" and 4" unlooped lines with 4" and 6" looped mains. An additional 6" main was constructed beneath the Norfolk Southern Railroad to increase capacity and pressures to the north side of the Village.
